Job Title: Durability CAE Tech Specialist

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Durability CAE Technical Specialist to lead structural durability and fatigue validation activities across critical automotive systems. This role is responsible for driving simulation-led design validation, ensuring correlation with physical testing, and advancing CAE methodologies, including the adoption of AI/ML-driven techniques. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in durability analysis, strong technical leadership, and a collaborative mindset to support cross-functional engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead structural durability and fatigue sign-off for components and systems such as body structures, frames, and EV battery trays prior to prototype builds.
• Perform and oversee full-vehicle simulations using both explicit and implicit solvers, including events such as ground strikes, curb impacts, and cyclic loading scenarios.
• Ensure high fidelity between simulation and real-world performance through correlation with physical test data .
• Conduct physics-based root cause analysis to identify, diagnose, and resolve durability issues throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers while promoting best practices and continuous improvement in CAE methodologies.
• Collaborate closely with design, manufacturing, and road-load data teams to define load cases, establish design targets, and integrate lessons learned into future programs.

Required Technical Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in industry-standard CAE tools such as Abaqus, Nastran, nCode DesignLife, and FEMFAT .
• Strong understanding of fatigue analysis, material plasticity, ductile failure mechanisms , and joining techniques in HSLA and cast materials.
• Experience with pre/post-processing tools including ANSA/HyperMesh and HyperView/Meta/Post .
• Working knowledge of Python and/or MATLAB for automation and workflow optimization.
• Proven ability to interpret complex simulation results and translate them into actionable engineering insights.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
