Construction Assistant Superintendent

Location: Saline, MI (Travel Required)

Employment Type: Long-Term Project Assignment

We are seeking a seasoned Construction Superintendent to lead large-scale commercial and industrial construction projects near Saline, MI. This role oversees the full project lifecycle—from feasibility and planning through execution and closeout—ensuring alignment with budgets, schedules, and quality standards. You will play a critical role in driving field operations, coordinating multi-discipline teams (civil, structural, electrical), and delivering high-value construction projects exceeding $50M.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 8+ years of supervisory experience in commercial or industrial construction
  • Proven experience managing projects with budgets of $50M+
  • Strong background in field operations across civil, structural, and/or electrical disciplines
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and passport
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (70%+)

Daily Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise all on-site construction activities from planning through completion
  • Develop execution strategies including manpower, materials, equipment, and scheduling
  • Coordinate across trades (electricians, carpenters, boilermakers) and contractors
  • Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, safety standards, and project timelines
  • Monitor project progress, track performance metrics, and adjust plans as needed
  • Manage site resources, inspections, and material flow to maintain schedule adherence
  • Communicate with stakeholders including clients, executives, and vendors
  • Identify risks, resolve field issues, and implement corrective actions
  • Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and operational efficiency
  • Drive continuous improvement through process optimization and innovation
