Controller for a High-Growth, Tech-Enabled Platform

160-170K plus bonus

The Top/Bottom Line:

This is not a traditional Controller role. It’s an opportunity to step into a high-visibility seat within a profitable, evolving platform, help modernize the accounting function, and position yourself for long-term leadership as the business scales and approaches a transaction event.

We are partnering with a highly profitable, technology-enabled platform operating at the intersection of payments, procurement, and data. This business processes hundreds of millions in annual transaction volume and has built a uniquely scalable model with exceptional margins and strong private equity backing.

The organization is entering a pivotal phase, with a clear path toward a liquidity event in the near term, and is investing heavily in automation, AI, and data infrastructure to support its next stage of growth. This is a rare opportunity for a Controller to step into a high-impact leadership role with visibility across the entire business and a defined path toward future executive leadership.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and evolve the accounting function in a transaction-heavy, systems-driven environment
• Build scalable processes, controls, and reporting to support continued growth and future transaction readiness
• Partner cross-functionally with technology, data, and operations teams to drive automation and efficiency
• Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and performance insights for leadership
• Play a key role in strategic initiatives, including expansion and integration efforts
• Mentor and develop a strong existing team while helping shape the future structure of the organization

What We’re Looking For

• CPA with a strong foundation in operational accounting and process design
• Experience in high-volume, complex transaction environments (payments, distribution, manufacturing, etc.)
• Proven ability to build and improve systems, controls, and scalable processes
• Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, evolving business with both strategic and hands-on responsibilities
• Strong business partner with the ability to work across finance, operations, and technology
