Job Description

Spencer's is a luxury boutique spa redefining the modern wellness experience.

With our flagship location in the heart of SoHo, New York City, and a second in West Hollywood, California, we blend timeless design with advanced wellness treatments to offer something truly unique: elevated, luxurious spa experiences at an accessible price point.

Our chic facilities offer state-of-the-art equipment. Spencer’s is less a traditional spa and more a space for design, comfort, and effortless aesthetic, a place for our guests to slow down, feel taken care of, and enjoy every detail.

Behind every experience is a passionate team of expert therapists, attentive sales associates, dynamic people managers, and visionary corporate leaders. We thrive on collaboration, creativity, and a shared commitment to excellence. Together, we’re creating new experiences and reimagining wellness.

If you’re driven by purpose, inspired by design, and passionate about wellness, we invite you to grow with us.

Position Overview

We're looking for an experienced Facilities Director to oversee and maintain our network of properties and corporate office, ensuring each location operates efficiently, safely, and in alignment with brand standards. This role is a mix of strategic planning and hands-on problem-solving—perfect for someone who thrives on variety, ownership, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day facilities operations across all retail and office locations, including HVAC, lighting, plumbing, janitorial, and general upkeep.
  • Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules and emergency response procedures.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all facilities-related inquiries, issues, and escalations.
  • Source, negotiate, and manage service providers across markets (cleaning, security, maintenance, repairs, etc.).
  • Manage contract renewals and oversee vendor compliance with safety, insurance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead planning and execution of minor renovations, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Collaborate with retail design and operations teams to ensure facilities reflect brand standards and support exceptional customer experiences.
  • Maintain facility condition assessments and a long-term maintenance roadmap.
  • Develop and manage annual facilities budget; track spend against budget and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure all retail and office locations comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility standards.
  • Lead emergency preparedness efforts and serve as safety coordinator for facilities-related protocols.
  • Partner with HR as needed to ensure workplace safety and compliance.
  • Manage facilities projects from planning through execution, including communication with cross-functional teams and local store staff.
  • Support in the project management of new spa constructions, renovations, refurbishments, and upgrades to spa facilities and infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with architects, designers, and contractors to ensure projects are on time, on budget, built to play, and align with the spa brand.
  • Partner with the Head of Spa and Spa Managers to ensure minimal disruption to spa operations during any project work.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of facilities or property management experience, ideally in a multi-location retail environment.
  • Experience leading construction project management.
  • Proven experience managing vendors, maintenance schedules, and facilities budgets.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel to retail locations as needed.

Benefits:

  • Pay range for this position: $120,000.00 -140,000 per year - a final offer will be based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in the role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria
  • Complimentary monthly 60-minute signature spa treatments
  • Employee discounts on spa products and services
  • Paid Time Off and Holidays
  • Professional development opportunities, including continuing education
  • Supportive, team-oriented environment that values personal and professional growth
