A growing global law firm is seeking seasoned legal administrative professionals for multiple openings in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. As a Legal Executive Assistant, you will be providing executive-level support to busy attorneys, coordinating client communications, calendars, correspondence, time entry, and travel. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide top-notch administrative support to attorneys, through calendar management, coordinating meetings, preparing agendas/meeting materials, and managing complex travel logistics.
  • Operate as a key liaison between attorneys, clients, and other staff, handling incoming communications and keeping everyone updated on current status and progress being made.
  • Oversee attorney billing, including prebills, approvals, and client invoices, monitoring the billing process at every step, addressing questions, and following up on outstanding orders.
  • Assist with drafting, editing, proofreading, and filing legal documents and correspondence, maintaining organization, and easy accessibility of both electronic and paper documentation.
  • Conduct legal research, summarizing and compiling findings for attorney briefings.
  • Utilize internal expense and time systems to ensure attorney expenses and time entries are processed in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate across teams and among other administrative staff to ensure workflows smoothly and no task falls to the wayside.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Legal administrative experience. You have a minimum of five (5) or more years of prior administrative support in a corporate or legal environment. Candidates with previous experience in a large law firm setting and or supporting senior principles will stand out!
  • Digitally literate. You are adept when it comes to all things software, operating on programs such as Microsoft Suite, Zoom, research tools, case management software, and billing systems (Aderant and Chrome River) with ease.
  • Eager and engaging. You love the challenge of working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, navigating multiple tasks, deadlines, and shifting priorities with confidence and care.
  • Collaboration at the core. You are team-oriented and seek employment opportunities that center on working closely with others. Building relationships, communication, and being someone the team can count on, are some of your strengths.
