Gardening Crew Team Leader
J&J Landscape Management is seeking an experienced Gardening Crew Team Leader to help care for high-end residential landscapes with precision, professionalism, and pride.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands fine gardening, enjoys working outdoors, and can guide a crew in delivering beautiful, well-maintained properties. You will lead daily gardening work, support plant health, maintain excellent presentation standards, and help create an outstanding client experience.
What You’ll Do:
Lead and supervise a gardening crew in the daily care of premium residential landscapes
Perform and direct planting, transplanting, seasonal pruning, and detailed care of ornamental trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals, bulbs, and containers
Maintain clean, detailed garden beds through weeding, edging, mulching, staking, grooming, and seasonal detail work
Support proper plant health through pruning, fertilization, irrigation monitoring, IPM practices, and sound horticultural techniques
Promote a safe, organized, and efficient work environment
Ensure tools, equipment, vehicles, and materials are used properly and kept in excellent condition
Communicate clearly with your crew and managers to keep work on schedule and meet J&J’s quality standards
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum of 3 years of horticulture, gardening, or fine gardening experience
Strong knowledge of plant care, pruning, and garden maintenance practices
Ability to lead a small crew and keep work moving efficiently
Professional, detail-oriented, and quality-focused
Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Prior leadership experience preferred
Horticulture degree or certification is a plus
