We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Airborne & Ground Optics Department in McKinney Texas. The responsibilities will include all aspects of the mechanical design process from concept to model/drawing completion for mechanical components required to support product builds working under the general supervision of a team lead. You will work closely with Chief Engineers Lead Engineers and product engineers. What You Will Do

  • Utilization of RTX tools including CREO modeling software and Product Data Management (PDM).
  • Design and documentation support utilizing engineering tools Adobe and MS office suite.
  • Execution of engineering change and drawing release process.
  • Some assembly of your designs may be required.
  • Analytical and technical engineering work within a program environment with possible presentations on designs as needed.
  • Training in Raytheon processes and procedures.
  • Work may include participation in building hardware in a lab environment.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field.
  • Experience with 3D modeling software (CREO SolidWorks or equivalent).

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Mechanisms or opto-mechanical design experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings including basic knowledge and understanding of tolerancing.
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations (verbal and/or written).
  • Able to work and interface with a cross-discipline team.

    The salary range for this role is 68900 USD - 131100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
