Momentum Senior Business Analyst

Position Description
CGI Federal seeks an experienced Momentum Senior Support Business Analyst to join a dynamic program supporting a federal agency-wide financial system. In this role, you'll perform day-to-day financial management tasks in Momentum, providing escalation-level support, improving processes, and acting as a bridge between clients and technical teams. This position offers growth in client engagement, technical knowledge, and innovation within a mature and collaborative environment.

Your future duties and responsibilities
. Resolve support tickets (payments, budget discrepancies, interfaces, journal entries) in Momentum
. Analyze business processes, document requirements, and develop/configure solutions
. Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot escalated issues
. Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
. Assist with internal control and audit readiness tasks
. Coordinate and test system updates, patches, or upgrades
. Communicate regularly with clients via help-desk, user-group forums, and stakeholder meetings
. Provide functional testing support: build test scenarios, validate Momentum configurations and reports
. Mentor business analysts and contribute to best-practices sharing

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
. 5 - 8 years of experience in Momentum of hands-on experience with Momentum (Accounts Payable, Budget Execution, Vendors, General Ledger, or Reporting modules)
. Background in federal financial systems
. Strong analytical/problem-solving skills
. Strategic/Critical Thinking
. Familiarity with federal financial processes
. Strong oral and written communication
. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field

Desired Qualifications

. SQL experience (querying, troubleshooting data issues, analytics support)

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $79,600.00 - $172,400.00.
