Night Shift Execution Leader (NSEL)

NSEL is responsible for owning overnight restaurant performance, ensuring operational excellence across speed, service, food quality, profitability, and labor control. This leader drives results during critical overnight hours by maintaining high standards, leading the team with urgency, and delivering a consistent guest experience that meets or exceeds brand expectations.

The NSEL owns the night.

Key Responsibilities

Speed & Service Execution

• Drive performance on OEPE and Drive-Thru times
• Ensure fast, accurate order assembly and delivery
• Maintain strong EAD behaviors (clear communication, order confirmation, guest engagement)
• Monitor and react to real-time bottlenecks (grill, DT, front counter)

Food Quality & Safety

• Ensure all food meets freshness and holding standards
• Eliminate shortcuts (no cabinet misuse, no quality skips)
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety compliance at all times

Profitability & Cost Control

• Manage and protect Food Over Base (FOB)
• Control waste, overproduction, and improper prep
• Execute strong inventory awareness and overnight prep discipline

Labor & Team Leadership

• Own labor % execution aligned with sales trends
• Schedule and deploy team effectively using overnight volume patterns
• Coach and develop overnight crew to meet performance standards
• Hold team accountable no hiding on nights

Performance Ownership

• Track and deliver results on:
• OEPE / Drive-Thru Times
• Labor %
• Food Cost (FOB)
• Customer Experience all Channels
• Prepare restaurant for morning transition success

Leadership Expectations

• Leads with urgency every minute matters
• Problem solver, not excuse maker
• Maintains calm control during late-night rushes
• Communicates clearly and holds standards without compromise
• Sets the tone overnight is not a downgrade shift it’s a performance shift
