Job Description

Our client, a midtown-based Hedge Fund, is seeking a Temp to Perm Receptionist to directly support the front desk and assist with any clerical duties. This is a great opportunity for a hardworking junior candidate with great organizational skills to be part of a growing office! This role can offer upward mobility for the right person!

JOB DETIALS

COMPANY: Midtown-Based Hedge Fund

POSITION: Temp to Perm Receptionist

HOURS: 9:00am-6:00pm – 5 days in the office

HOURLY: $25-$27/HR ($60K-$65K when perm), plus full benefits, and bonus eligible)

DEGREE: Highly Preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Answer and re-direct incoming phone calls and take detailed messages. At times, answering many lines simultaneously.
  • Meet, greet and assist visitors with courtesy and professionalism.
  • Fax, send FedEx packages, receive incoming/outgoing mail and packages, scan documents, and files.
  • Maintain and update Outlook data files, e.g., Contact Lists and Calendars.
  • Schedule meetings and conference calls as requested.
  • Order office supplies and consumables from office vendors, maintaining delivery schedule.
  • Arrange Taxi/Limo reservations.
  • Monitor daily lunch orders and guide lunch delivery personnel.
  • Filing/Recordkeeping: enter proxy’s and prospectus’ into database and file accordingly (Compliance); maintain digital and paper filing of statements for (Operations); offsite storage.
  • Maintain reception area appearance to ensure it’s presentable
  • Assist in ad hoc projects at the request of the Office Manager.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree preferred
  • Prior administrative experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally to clients and employees of the firm.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills
  • Successful candidate will be a self-starter, independent worker who is comfortable working with minimum direction
  • Willingness to work on certain holidays when receptionist coverage is required.
