Job Description

Overview

We’re hiring a Senior Corporate Recruiter to own and drive hiring for our Austin/Pflugerville operations. This role is responsible for delivering results across both high-volume hourly hiring and key salaried positions.

You won’t just support recruiting efforts, you’ll run them. You’ll build pipeline, partner directly with hiring managers, and be accountable for hiring outcomes in one of our most active markets. You’ll have the support of a Recruiting Coordinator who handles scheduling, candidate communication, and pre-employment steps so you can stay focused on sourcing, interviewing, and closing.

This is a fully on-site position based in Pflugerville, TX.

Core Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle recruiting across hourly and salaried roles, from intake through offer acceptance and onboarding
  • Partner with hiring managers to define hiring needs, timelines, and candidate profiles
  • Build and execute sourcing strategies using job boards, social media, networking, and direct outreach
  • Proactively source candidates using Boolean search and advanced sourcing techniques; this is not a post-and-wait role
  • Screen, interview, and assess candidates to ensure alignment with job requirements and company standards
  • Manage the offer process, including verbal offers and negotiation when appropriate
  • Oversee all pre-employment steps, including background checks, employment verification, testing, and drug screening, in compliance with company policy and applicable laws
  • Ensure onboarding and orientation processes are executed effectively and continuously improved
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for third-party vendors, including staffing agencies and advertising partners
  • Track, analyze, and report on recruiting metrics, pipeline health, and hiring trends; adjust strategies as needed
  • Conduct exit interviews, identify trends, and provide feedback to support retention and recruiting effectiveness
  • Maintain current knowledge of recruiting tools, market trends, and best practices to continuously improve performance

Leadership & Impact

  • May supervise Recruiters and/or Recruiting Coordinators
  • Provide guidance, set expectations, and ensure consistent execution of recruiting processes
  • Support training and development of team members
  • Partner with corporate recruiting leadership to align on strategy and priorities

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistently meeting or exceeding hiring targets
  • Maintaining a strong, active pipeline across key roles
  • Reducing time-to-fill while maintaining candidate quality
  • Building effective relationships with hiring managers and leadership
  • Delivering a positive, efficient, and compliant candidate experience

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate recruiting
  • Experience recruiting in construction, electrical, or skilled trades environments strongly preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws and compliant hiring practices
  • Experience working within an ATS or CRM system
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence hiring decisions

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • This position operates primarily in a professional office environment and requires regular use of standard office equipment. The role may also involve time on active project sites, interacting with employees, subcontractors, and trades.

  • While primarily sedentary, the position may require standing, walking, reaching, and handling materials up to 25 pounds. Occasional filing and movement throughout the day is expected. The ability to operate a vehicle may be required.

Cognitive & Sensory Requirements

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written and verbal information
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Visual ability including focus, depth perception, and color recognition

Schedule & Travel
