Job Title: Senior Associate - Technical Service

Duration: 12 Months Contract with possible extensions

Location: Wilmington, DE

Shift: Day shift (typically 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

Responsibilities:

• Conduct organic reactions at pilot and lab scale, including setup, monitoring, analysis, and documentation using electronic lab notebooks.
• Produce resin-based parts through mixing, milling, pressing, and sintering.
• Analyze results, identify issues, and recommend next steps.
• Perform material characterization using techniques such as NMR, IR, and polymer testing tools (DSC, TGA, DMA, TMA, Impact, Tensile).
• Document experimental data and present findings in team meetings.
• Troubleshoot and calibrate instruments; prepare SOPs and manuals.
• Maintain lab safety documentation and follow process safety management (PSM) practices.
• Manage lab inventory, order supplies, and coordinate external testing per DOT regulations.
• Handle drum-size flammable materials and perform limited lifting of lab equipment.

Qualifications:

• BS in Chemical Engineering, Materials, Chemistry, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with pilot-scale polymerization and handling drum-quantity flammable materials preferred.
• Knowledge of polymer characterization instrumentation is a plus.
• Experience with mechanical testing equipment preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn various testing methods and work effectively in a team environment.
