POSITION SUMMARY

As part of the Talent and Career Strategy team, the junior Paralegal will support various practice groups, including litigation, investigations, and government controversies. This is an entry-level position, although some work experience is preferred. Qualified individuals must have excellent attention to detail, strong organizational and communication skills, and be able to take direction. Overtime and travel may be required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Provide comprehensive practice support and end-to-end case management.
  • Draft, review, and proofread correspondence, legal notices, documents, and forms.
  • Assist in preparing briefs and other legal documents.
  • Electronically file documents across various courts and jurisdictions.
  • Assisting with e-discovery and document review platforms (e.g., Relativity).
  • Compile and organize materials for depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Analyze, index, and manage documents and exhibits.
  • Maintain and organize case team documents and files.
  • Track deadlines and monitor due dates.
  • Attend and assist at trial and arbitration as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved institution.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe.
  • Strong proofreading skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a client-focused approach.
  • Superior organizational, prioritization, and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, manage workflow efficiently, and exercise sound judgment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability to work overtime, travel, and handle after-hours filings and deliverables as needed.
  • Hybrid role: in-office presence required Monday–Thursday (minimum four days per week).

Jenner & Block is proud to offer a competitive total rewards package, including comprehensive health & well-being benefits and 401k profit sharing. The anticipated pay range for this role is $60,000 - 80,000 in Washington, DC. The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on several factors, including qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
