Job Description

Job Summary:

The Project Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring detailed project schedules to ensure timely and efficient project delivery. This role collaborates with project managers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to track progress, identify risks, and support data-driven decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, update, and manage comprehensive project schedules using appropriate scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
  • Collaborate with project managers and team members to define project scope, activities, durations, and dependencies.
  • Monitor project progress and performance against baseline schedules, identifying variances and potential delays.
  • Perform critical path analysis and provide recommendations to mitigate schedule risks.
  • Prepare and present schedule reports, forecasts, and dashboards for stakeholders and leadership.
  • Integrate resource and cost data into schedules to support overall project planning and control.
  • Maintain schedule baselines and document changes through formal change control processes.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure alignment on timelines and deliverables.
  • Support risk management by identifying scheduling risks and assisting in developing mitigation strategies.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Make occasional field trips.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and the capacity to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • 5+ years of experience in project scheduling, project controls, or a related role.
  • Proficiency in scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar software.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, including scheduling techniques and critical path methodology (CPM).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in team environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast paced environment.
