Job Description

Seeking a Retail Banking Specialist that is responsible for supporting the day-to-day processing, maintenance, and control of transactions and deposit operations. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, knowledge of banking operations, and the ability to resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and maintain deposit accounts, including checking, savings, CDs, and IRA accounts
• Perform account maintenance such as updates, closures, and corrections in accordance with bank policies
• Review and process daily transaction activity, including ACH, wire transfers, and check clearing exceptions
• Monitor and resolve account discrepancies, exceptions, and out-of-balance conditions
• Administer overdraft programs, stop payments, and holds
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., Reg CC, Reg D, BSA/AML) and internal controls
• Conduct quality control reviews and assist with audits and examinations
• Support new product implementations, system updates, and process improvements

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field preferred
• Previous banking operations or deposit operations experience
• Strong knowledge of deposit products, banking regulations, and payment systems (ACH, wires, check processing)
• Proficiency in core banking systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
