We are a neighborhood Italian restaurant that serves “Italiabama Style” cusine. Where Italian flavor meets Alabama hospitality ! We have now added another restaurant to Leeside Foley Corporation, Safari & Vine at the Gulf Coast Alabama Zoo! A walk on the Wild side!

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Sous Chef located in Foley, AL & in Gulf Shores AL. The Sous Chef will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in all aspects of kitchen management, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation. Day-to-day tasks include supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food quality and consistency, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and managing inventory. The Sous Chef will also be involved in menu planning, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and training and mentoring junior kitchen staff.

Qualifications

• Strong cooking and food preparation skills
• Experience in kitchen management and staff supervision
• Knowledge of inventory management and food cost control
• Ability to plan menus and ensure food quality and consistency
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the kitchen
• Culinary degree or relevant certifications are a plus
• Experience in a similar role is preferred
