Your Role at Delta Faucet
We are seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Intern to support safety compliance and continuous improvement initiatives within our Distribution Center and manufacturing environment. This internship provides handson exposure to realworld safety programs datadriven incident reduction efforts inspections and employee training activities. You will work closely with EHS professionals operations maintenance and crossfunctional partners while gaining practical experience in occupational health and safety.
This position will be full time and located at our Jackson TN site. The anticipated duration is late May mid August 2026.
Key Responsibilities
Distribution Center Safety Incident Reduction
Lead a focused problemsolving project aimed at strengthening Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) safety by:
Analyzing historical PIT incident data to identify trends and risk patterns
Performing root cause analysis (RCA) using methodologies such as 5 Whys Fishbone or fault tree mapping
Identifying contributing factors including behaviors training gaps procedures traffic flow employee type and environmental conditions
Developing corrective and preventive action recommendations to reduce future incidents
Preparing and presenting findings and improvement recommendations to EHSS leadership
Safety Programs & Compliance
Review revise and update Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Hazard Assessments
Assist with procedure reviews for Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and Confined Space programs
Support updates to PIT training materials and standard work documentation
Assist with maintaining EHSS documentation using the sites SharePoint platform
Inspections & Monitoring
Assist with inspections of fall protection equipment including safety harnesses
Support new equipment inspections to ensure EHSS compliance
Training & Employee Engagement
Job shadow Maintenance personnel to gain handson Lockout/Tagout experience
Review and update LOTO training materials
Assist with delivering LOTO training to authorized employees
Support ergonomic evaluations through job shadowing and observational assessments
General EHS Support
Assist with a variety of safetyrelated projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Provide administrative and field support to the EHSS team
Participate in job shadowing opportunities to broaden exposure to safety and operational functions
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Environmental Health & Safety Occupational Safety Industrial Hygiene Engineering or a related field
Collegelevel Sophomore or higher at the time of internship
Basic understanding of workplace safety principles preferred
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel PowerPoint Word)
Strong analytical observational and problemsolving skills
Ability to work in a handson fieldbased operational environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
Effective verbal and written communication skills

This position will pay $18 $20/hour based on the candidates skills experience and education level.
